It is well known that European civilisation started in Anatolia and spread outwards. Kybele was an Earth Mother Goddess in the region 8,000 years ago and all representations of her can be traced back to her. This image is based on a clay statue that is 8,000 years old from the region now in Turkey. It shows Kybele sitting with a Lion and a Leopard. I think she looks beautiful, enigmatic and resplendent. Later she will take on may forms but essentially a symbol of Earth Energy.
She is 222mm high and 191mm wide.
